Just wanted to let you know how fantastic Brent was at installing my new heater.
I had phoned Braemar heaters on 22nd August asking for help in choosing a new heater for my house. Within an hour I had a response from Brent who was working near my area that he would call in late that day on his way home to advise. He arrived when he said he would, was very down to earth and chose the best heater for my circumstances. He sent his quote when he said he would and I accepted it straight away. He then went out of his way to collect the heater instead of waiting for it to be delivered which meant I had the heater installed within two days of accepting the quote.
His service didn’t stop there! I had told him my epic story of waiting for service to the gas heater and to the air conditioner and all the costs associated with these unsuccessful services in hope I could get some sort of heating into the house. During his installation he discovered exactly why the air conditioner wasn’t heating the house although the unit was working (as the air conditioner service person did acknowledge). The ducting for the air conditioner in the roof space had become disconnected (although the air conditioner service invoice stated the ducting had been checked). He took a photo of the problem for me and repaired it on the spot. Way beyond the call of duty!
And it didn’t stop there. Today, three months later, I sent Brent a text asking if he still had the photo on his phone. He responded with the photo and enquired how things were going.
Very personable, very caring and extremely good at his job.
Brent came to me thorough Hi Tech Services. Would I recommend them to you – you bet you life on that one!!!!

Very comfy-cosy once again since Brent Arneaud of Cool Running Installations replaced our old under-floor gas heater. This also involved replacing and reconfiguring the supply and return ducting and splitting the system into 3 zones. To simplify and tidy the ducting, Brent cut an opening thru a brick retaining wall through which the main ducts now pass - brilliant! I can highly recommend Brent who is knowledgeable and hard-working and simply a very nice guy.

Our heater stopped working in June, right at the start of winter. We thought we'd be shivering all the way through the cold but Brent from Cool Runnings came to our rescue. He installed a brand new heater within two weeks of quoting our job and re-routed the existing ducting so that our living area actually felt warm and cosy. When we replaced our existing gas heater it was 30 years old and Stephen from HiTech Gas services had kept it going for the last 5/6 years of it's life. He and Roger did a great job keeping it going, but eventually the unit failed and parts to fix were not available.
Stephen helped us research new options and recommended a couple of potential installers. We met with John Montgomery , he impressed us so much with his attention to detail and " perfection" approach"that he got the job.

Had a brivis gas heating system put in in 2016 by Hi-Tech. Their installers was a brilliant tradesman, really hard working and knew his trade well. Have had no problems with the heating system.
Since then I have had the system checked every year by Hi Tech who have been very professional and reliable. I recently had a question about a restart after the gas to my house was turned off and Hi Tech got straight back to me and solved my problem in a flash over the phone.

To whom it may concern,
We invited John Montgomery to recommend options to install air conditioning in our home. Our invitation was based on advice from a friend that recommended John as an air conditioning engineer who would do an excellent job for us.
John designed a system for us that incorporated much of an existing ducted heating system, upgraded a lot of the ducting for cooling and installed the refrigeration system. That much was excellent but expected. However, he also designed the system to cope with the next generation of our (ageing) heating system, he resolved some issues relating to changes in the Brivis system, personally checked the configurations and commissioned the system. All on budget, all very timely and all exactly as promised.
John will fuss. He will fuss about your requirements; he will want to explain to you what he wants to build, how it should be built and how it should and how it should be configured. He will talk to you about your concerns, your requirements, and your future plans and explain how he will build your plans into his system.
If you want a quick job, with a tradesman who will install a default system and hope it works with minimum input from you, John is not your man. If you want to be confident in the job, confident it will last and cope with later configurations and system requirements, and most of all be confident that he will install what you actually need as distinct from what you think you need John comes with my highest recommendation. He is that old-style engineer who actually cares and I do not think he would install a system that you might think you want, or you have been told you want, if he knows it is not what you actually need.
In short, I’d use John again and I would not bother to seek alternative quotes or alternative advice on systems. I simply would trust John to do another outstanding job.

I first heard about John Montgomery from Stephen and Andy, Andy is a very thorough and reliable serviceman who had been looking after our central heating furnace for some years. Our unit was approaching 20 years old and Andy said something like ” it was already a miracle it is still going”, and that I will soon have to think about replacing it. “if and when you do” said Andy,” get in touch with John Montgomery who is one of the best people in the business when it comes to the selection and installation of a new furnace.” And eventually I did have to get in touch with John, and I immediately realised that this bloke who came along in his work gear to inspect, advise and quote, was a hands-on tradesman who was more genuine than one would expect, knew his business backwards, and talked long and knowingly about how we could improve the efficiency of our ducting, and the best unit for our purposes. Within 48 hours we had a detailed written quote – it was an attractive price compared to my expectations. Work started a few weeks later, the whole job took about a day longer than he had stated in his quote, mainly due to unanticipated underfloor problems, but he never suggested increasing the price for the job. We now have an excellent installation, a more efficient unit, and John has been back a couple of times for some “fine tuning”. This project has been one of the most satisfactory tradesman relationships I have had in 22 years living in our present home, and I would recommend John Montgomery to anyone contemplating a new furnace installation.
